Is this thing on?

Oh, hello there.

Yes, for the few people who still bother to check this place out, or anyone who just stumbled across it looking for beet recipes, I’m alive and kicking despite the Universe’s attempts to alter that fact. It’ll win eventually, but not yet.

So, where the Hell have I been? Around. Online as well, which is to be expected of someone dealing with this kind of addiction. But not giving the web site any love for two plus years was both wrong of me, as well as far too long a time in Internet and dog years. However, a couple recent potential changes in my employment status – specifically at a technical level – made me look back at this site and the blog, and decide I should do something with it again.

So, is this love’s re-flowering? Nothing like that, but I will try to be around. Some. At the very least I’ll refresh the look and functionality, and do what I can to push more to the front the stuff people actually still seem to come here for.

Speaking of which, letting the public WordPress plugins I list here wither was another bad thing to do, and I’ll see about rectifying that forthwith by making sure they run on the latest and greatest, while perhaps adding a feature here and there. Some have been superseded by the work of others; in those cases where I see no need for competing plugins, I’ll note so and link.
