Hardest. Upgrade. Ever.

posted on April 1, 2008

(Ok, not the hardest. Let’s say one of the more vexing upgrades.)

Updated guff to WordPress 2.5. And only took 27 hours to do it. Well, 27 hours since I started on the whole gorram updating the blog software thing late Sunday night. Wasn’t at the computer the whole 27 hours. Had to spend some time at that place where they hand me a paycheck every week, regular-like. Also, there was some sleeping. And eating; I’m sure I did a little of that in those 27 hours.

Anyway, 27 hours ago I started upgrading WordPress. About 40 minutes ago things finally were up and running as one would expect. I’ll explain all the details in a follow-up post. But for now, I need to revisit that sleep activity.

(And no, this is not some complicated April Fools’ Day gotcha post…)

Hi,

I could not find any place on your website to contact you except this :(.

I have seen that you have worked out so many number of plugins for WordPress, I am looking for a plugin for my website(www.bhuspeaks.com). This website have a page called “Interviewing BHU” (http://www.bhuspeaks.com/page03-2/). This page will be updated almost every week and I don;t want to delete the previous data. I am in need of a plugin which could create Archive of a single Page. This would actually help me keeping the older data as archive and display the latest one.

I was wondering if you know of any such plugin existing. If there isn’t any, can you make one. This is just a humble request.

Regards,

Nitin
