Confusion of Milk Days

posted on January 11, 2008

Along with Milk Day we have World Milk Day, which sounds big and important, but causes some conflict of interests with regular old Milk Day. It also doesn’t seem to know when it’s celebrated. Pathetic.

Then there’s Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day, which seems more like a day for callousness than anything else.

Cow Appreciation Day feels like a good one, but then they went and stuck it in the middle of July. I mean, have you ever hugged a cow on a really hot day?

In Nepal they have something called the milk holiday, but it doesn’t appear to be tied to a specific day. Pity.

Finally and musically, there’s Chocolate Milk Day. We really need a date on the calendar for that one. Oh wait.
