What is Faith?

According to the, ahem, Conservapedia, faith is:

[A] uniquely Christian concept that means trust or complete confidence in something unseen. The term lacks a precise definition. In English the word comes from the Latin word “fidere”, meaning “to trust”.

Got that? “Faith” is a Christian-derived concept built on a word taken from a language whos speakers believed in Jupiter, Neptune, Mithras and the like. I think they even worshiped a Caesar or two.

But no reason for me to continue here for hilarity’s sake. Just reading the Conservapedia article provides more than enough comedy on its own. My faith lies in you’re ability to discover it without a laugh track.
