Linking to the stuff
I was just now at a web site that’s only purpose for existence is to advertise and disseminate a single software application (one of thousands—nothing new there). While I was surfing the site’s documentation a somewhat inconsequential but still nagging question came to me: Why, if you’re offering a product for download and/or purchase, would you bury or stick at the end of a list of lesser-visited sections that particular link?
You want to point people at your work. It’s why you went to all the trouble of setting up a little home for it online. So why not put the damn link to it front (or first) and center? I don’t get it.
