KafPress?

posted on March 27, 2006

Someone I…vaguely…know jokingly asked why I don’t come out with a custom version of WordPress (I’ve done a number of modifications to it for him. Since he was my first convert to WordPress, I keep thinking I owe him. No more!). The discussion went a bit like thus:

Me: What, a Kaf Oseo edition of WordPress? (laughs, somewhat evil) No, never.

Him: I’m just a bit serious, but why never?

Me: You’re kidding. Do you know the work involved with something like that? Talk about a burden.

Him: Well you wouldn’t be doing big changes to it…

Me: No, not the point. Still, even imagining the whole thing would be simple, you know what I’d call it.

Him: What? Oh, like KafkaPress.

Me: Bite me. Yeah, KafPress. That’s what I’d call it. That’s what I’d have to call it.

Him: And that’s bad?

Me: Of course it’s bad. Look at the acronym.

Him: … KP … Oh yeah!

Me: No way am I doing KP duty!

Him: Hah! Do KP duty! Come on! I’ll march around and you do KP.

Me: Do your own fucking KP.

Oh it went on like that for a while. Then finally he dared me to post about this part.

So there.
