Googling Mars

posted on March 15, 2006

Any of my close personal friends, perhaps a family member or two, and certainly one ex-wife, know about the two habitual interests (beyond things like computers, this Internet thingy, and the like (And books, certainly! Don’t want them to feel left out—sorry there, books. -Ed.)) I happen to harbor.

One is maps.

The other is Mars.

So there’s really no reason to doubt the following: I want to have Google’s children.

(Taking in John Carter’s digs thanks to Pharyngula, who gets kudos for the Blade Runner ref!)

It will sure be nice when NASA makes a lot more data available to Google. I love Mars, and hope to visit my relatives some day. Lately they’ve been complaining about all of the air and ground traffic that has mysteriously appeared…hmmm…I wonder….
