Less breaky

Did a tiny hop with my WordPress update on guff.

I’ve ignored WordPress 2.0 and slipped in the first release candidate for 2.0.1. There’s more than a few things going on in the background here I would have had a hell of a time getting to run in 2.0. So my lettered choices were to [A] turn off any site features that would have problems, [B] modify several custom functions and plugins so they work with 2.0, then revert when 2.0.1 goes final, [C] hack 2.0’s source to make my stuff work alongside it, [D] risk a step up to 2.0.1 now*.

Risk is sometimes good. And risk sometimes leaves me with far less work to do. So [D] it is.

Due to the update, foreshortened permalinks are now broke. Eh. I do use these for linking to my WordPress plugins and whatnot, but it’s a piece of the puzzle I’m willing to leave off for a bit.

Now, to look over how WP 2.0.x handles url rewrite rules internally…

* Did you notice I left off [E] leave things just as they are? Yeah, I noticed that too. Strange.
