Chat me up

posted on August 24, 2005

I’m following Scalzi’s example (which is unusual for me) and installing Google Talk, though I’m not much for IM, IRC and the like these days. I gave such things up long ago, due to a problem of sorts with it way back in my Compuserve days…

Kafkaesquí: Hi I’m Kaf. I’m an online chat addict.

Crowd: ~ Hi Kaf! ~

Kafkaesquí: I’ve been free of chat for almost 10 years now…

Ok, t’wasn’t that bad. But I can now be bugged live through Google’s Jabber server, if anyone is so inclined to do so. My account is kafkaesqui@gmail.com — original, huh? Try not to use it for getting support out of me for a certain something, ok?

You do need a Google *identity*, so if you’re sans a GMail account (are there still people out there without one?), let me know. I’ve got invites up the yin yang.
