Some phrases that amuse me

They may come from a forum, or the comments of a web site, or a discussion in everyday life, but these are always funny—sometimes strange, sometime ha ha—to me (with commentary):

“I don’t know how to fix this.”
(no way–honest?)

“Do you know what I mean?”
(when followed by silence, assume “no”)

“Has anyone thought of this before?”
(actually, you’re the first; get in line)

“I don’t know how to code, but I imagine this would be simple to do.”
(imagine there’s no people…)

“I don’t know if this is the right place to ask.”
(it isn’t!)

“I know you’re busy, but–”
(I’m closing the door now)

“Do you even know what you’re doing?”
(if I thought not, I wouldn’t be doing it)
