Send writers, blogs (and sure, money)

So I’m planning to take another swim in the pool of insanity that is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo as it’s known to us drowning mental patients. For those wholly ignorant of the endeavor, here’s the 50 words or less spiel:

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Yes, I know, I know. And you’re right; but I’m doing it. Again. I may rig a blogging environment for it as I did last year. We’ll see. If anyone else is up for several weeks of ripping your hair out (for those who still have it…) while wringing the next sentence out of your sleep-deprived head, feel free to join in (sign-up starts October 1). At the very least, the NaNoWriMo community can be entertaining (*wink*).

This is not really related, but I’m pulling back a bit from guff entries, for a while. I’ve been in a minor malaise when it comes to posting snarky comments on miscellaneous things. Not being a daily personal journal fan, and with others playing political gadfly more regularly than I, it’s all guff really has going for it. This is not to say Guff Depot will be idle; I hope to gear up my Blurried Musings schedule. My blogging nervous energy has to be released somewhere.
