Thirty-four years ago this week, two human beings scrabbled down a ladder standing nearly two hundred and thirty-nine thousand miles away from their home and looked upon the “magnificent desolation” of the lunar landscape, thereby placing our first steps upon the surface of another celestial body. Got to love that.

So for those who continue to think we did no such thing, you can all bite me.
