Canine indicators

I took the dog for a walk a little while ago. As you might tell from the last entry, getting out of the house for an hour was something we both needed.

As is a dog’s nature, she spent the walk spot-pissing every fourteen feet along our path, leaving little scentric calling cards to fellow low-to-the-ground compatriots. This activity of hers ticks me off to no end, as it breaks the cardiovascular stride I like to get going. Besides, you can’t really call it a ‘walk’ when you find yourself constantly standing, leash in hand, as your dog snorts spray from a dozen other pooches in the neighborhood.

But I’m putting the anger aside for now. A little brainstorm occurred to me on the walk back (or walk-on, walk-off), and now I can’t wait for my next set of business cards. On the back I’m placing an illustration of a dog with one hind leg up in the air, aim dead on at the card holder. It’ll be fun explaining it.
