“It was a very good pair of shoes”

“It was a very good pair of shoes,” the Rev. Craig Gonzales said.”

What with a gun shot bouncing off one of them, I must concur. Perhaps doubly so, considering the assailant, Joseph George Barder, says he was aiming for the priest’s head. Barder also notes one of the reasons for his attack was that he felt Rev. Gonzales wasn’t providing adequate spiritual direction to his congregation. Who better to know than a homicidal maniac?

Anyway, some call it luck. Some call it an act of God. And some see it as proof Douglas Adams is still alive. Me? I merely agree with Rev. Gonzales’ observation – very good shoes.

I got here simply by searching “Douglas Adams is still alive,” on google after waking up horribly depressed so late in the middle of the night. Wishful thinking, and also some foolish shred of half conscious hope. I don’t know if anyone’s going to read this or not, ever, as this post is so very old and the link to the article is gone, and I have not been able to read it (4 years too late and all that). still, a reply would be appreciated.
take care; sorry to invade your blog.

I also found this by googling “Douglas Adams is still alive”.
Since watching the new “Dr Whos” I have jestingly said the writers must be channeling the spirit of Douglas Adams. Then I fould out he was actually involved with the scripts of some of the old episodes. TRIPPY! That’s why I googled the above.
